Make confident digital decisions before you invest

When your organisation feels pressure to do more digitally, it can be difficult to know what that should mean in practice.

Do you need a new website? More marketing? Better content? Clearer governance? Or simply a more focused set of priorities?

An independent, fixed-price review will help you understand where you actually are, what is getting in the way and what to do next — before you spend money on the wrong thing.

It is not a generic audit. It is a structured conversation about the decisions your organisation needs to make.

Could you explain your digital strategy to your board?

The Communications & Digital Review helps you step back and answer the important questions:

  • What are we trying to achieve?

  • How should digital support our organisational goals?

  • Are we focusing on the right audiences and activities?

  • What is working—and what is getting in the way?

  • Where should we invest our limited time and budget?

  • What should we stop, start or continue?

  • What should happen next?

They come because something has happened. A platform is retiring. A new project wants its own site. Someone has realised the website no longer reflects who they are. Or leadership is asking uncomfortable questions about whether any of it is working.

These feel like practical problems. But underneath, there is usually a bigger decision that has been delayed, avoided or made by default. The Communications and Digital Review is where we surface it.

When a review can help

A review is a useful place to start when:

  • your website or communications no longer feel like they reflect who you are

  • different teams are pulling in different directions

  • you are considering investing in a new website, platform or agency — but want to be sure you are solving the right problem

  • you have plenty of activity but little confidence about what is actually working

  • a restructure, new strategy or change in leadership has created new priorities

  • you know something needs to change but you are not yet sure what the answer is

You do not need to have diagnosed the problem before getting in touch. Part of the work is to uncover the real problem.

What the review covers

Every review is shaped around the questions your organisation needs to answer. Depending on your situation, that might include:

  • what you are trying to achieve and whether your digital activity supports it

  • which audiences matter most, and whether you are reaching them

  • what your website and content are doing well — and what they are quietly undermining

  • what is getting in the way: structure, content, resource, governance or something else

  • where limited time and budget will have the greatest impact

  • what to stop, start and continue

The recommendations will reflect the decisions you need to make, the environment in which you operate and what is realistic for your organisation’s people, skills, resources and capacity.

What you will get

A concise, practical action plan that includes:

  • an honest assessment of your current position.

  • the most important issues and opportunities.

  • clear priorities based on impact and what is realistic for your organisation.

  • a stop, start and continue assessment.

  • immediate actions and longer-term next steps.

  • a summary you can share with leadership, trustees or funders.

You will understand not only what to do next, but why it should be the priority.

How the review works

1. Define the decision — We agree on what has prompted the review, what questions need answering and who should be involved.

2. Review the evidence — I look at the relevant strategies, websites, content, analytics and existing plans.

3. Hear different perspectives — I speak with key people to understand priorities, pressures and where uncertainty sits.

4. Identify the priorities — I assess what matters most against your goals, your audiences and what is realistic.

5. Present the plan — I share my findings and we discuss the recommendations together, so you leave with a clear next step.

Most reviews are completed within one to two weeks, depending on the scope and availability of key stakeholders.

The review is £795 for smaller organisations. For larger or more complex organisations, scope and investment are agreed in advance.

What happens next?

The review gives you a plan you can actually use. You might implement it internally, use it to brief an agency, build a business case for investment, or ask me to support the next stage.

There is no obligation to do anything further with me.
